Using the compositional tools of unity, balance, proportion, rhythm and dominance, Still Life photography allows us to direct and tell stories with our subject matter more than any other photographic genre.
It is, however, a most demanding of art forms and requires patience and time.
In this full-day completely practical workshop we cover everything you need to know:
- how to choose your subject matter
- how to position your elements using the principles of design – unity, balance, proportion, rhythm and dominance
- backgrounds
- colour vs. b&w
- ambient lighting vs. studio lighting (we will shoot both in the workshop)
A variety of still life items will be provided for students to photograph, and notes are also provided for all students.
Suitable for digital SLR and film cameras. SLR digital camera and tripods are available for hire – please advise us in advance if required.
Max of 6 per group. 9.30am-3.30pm. Price $295.00
