An Introduction to Adobe Photoshop CC for Photographers
Adobe Photoshop CC has been the industry standard image manipulation tool for digital
photography and image manipulation. It is a complex application with many tools and
functions. This course is designed to assist beginner and intermediate photographers to
use Photoshop to get the most out of their digital images to produce stunning print-ready
results that reflect their creative intent.
Topics will include:
• digital images, file formats, pixel resolution, file size
• Raw vs JPEG capture
• Image evaluation
• Basic image tone control using levels and curves
• Colour control (saturation, vibrance)
• Sharpening and noise reduction
• Cropping, straightening and perspective control
• Using filters to fine tune image values
• Local adjustments using adjustment layers and masks
• Creative Techniques
• Preparing files for output and printing
• Creating web ready images
