Are you passionate about black and white photography, but don’t know where to start? Join us for this hands-on small-group workshop where you will learn:
– how to see the world around you in black & white
– the importance and quality of light, shadows, highlights and contrast
– to understand tonal range, using the “Zone System”, developed by Ansel Adam
– how to process your images so they convey your photographic vision
Participant skills and requirements
Skills – Participants are expected to have an intermediate understanding of their cameras and photography – for example, participants are expected to understand aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure compensation, etc.
Equipment – participants are welcome to bring their whole kit bag – ideally this should include one lens that has a polariser filter. Up to 20 of your existing favourite images in colour on usb covering a range of subject matters.
