This is about taking your art further and getting it right in camera!
We explore: exposure compensation – get those whites white and blacks black, how to use a grey card, learn to read your histogram, white balance, the varied uses of a polariser, what is the basis for colour management and does it matter, flash basics including balancing on camera with natural light, use of wireless triggers, diffusers and more.
We aim for a 2.5 hour practical shoot. At Tamborine Mountain this is usually in the rainforest (Queensland’s oldest National Park) and at another location such as Hang gliders Lookout after a combined theory and practical session at the in the morning.
Workshop notes given to all participants.
Morning and afternoon tea refreshments supplied.
Participant requirements
Participants are expected to have an understanding of their cameras and photography that is a basic understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
Equipment – you are welcome to bring your kit. We have a limited number of DSLR’s available for hire with a tripod for $25.00.

Q. Do I have had to have done the Bluedog Beginner to attend?
A. No. We do ask you have an understanding of shutter, aperture and ISO and how the three work together and what they do. We are happy to discuss by phone if you are unsure.
